Our Mission

Honest Art is empowering people of all ages in their own creative growth as a pathway for maximizing happiness and personal development. We provide an engaging learning experience appropriate for all ages and all skill levels.

What makes Honest Art unique is our focused dedication to children. We've designed our entire facility around the young artists of tomorrow — from painting and pottery to animation and slime making. We hire local up-and-coming artists, each an accomplished expert in their craft.

Meet Our Team

Liza Cruz
Founder & Creative Director

Trained at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, Liza spent years designing clothing for the world's top brands before pursuing her passion for painting and teaching. She opened Honest Art in 2021 with a vision to create the most inspiring art studio for children in Westchester. Liza leads the creative team and still spends time in the classroom every week. Gabriel Cruz
CEO

Gabe manages the business side of Honest Art and is focused on developing it into a national franchise. He is also CEO of Parrot (languagetest.com), a leading online language assessment company. A Harvard Business School alumni board member and active advocate for education, arts, and criminal justice reform.

Iviana Rexach
Studio Manager & Senior Art Instructor

A graduate of SCAD with a BFA in Fashion Design, Iviana is a multi-award winning artist whose work spans painting, textile design, and jewelry. She currently designs collections for a renowned NYC textile company. Her main source of inspiration is color — and her favorite painter is Rothko, the "Master of Color."
