Our Mission

Raising the Bar on
Art Education

Hello!

We are Amit and Anika, a husband-and-wife team who share a passion for creativity, community, and building something meaningful together.

Anika has been involved in art and creative education for more than 20 years, teaching children and adults through art programs, libraries, nonprofits, after-school clubs, and her own home studio. Amit is a Business Analyst with more than 25 years of professional experience, bringing a strong background in business, planning, and problem-solving. Together, we bring two complementary strengths to Honest Art — creativity and business strategy.

As parents of two college-aged children, we know how quickly life gets busy. In an increasingly screen-dominant world, we believe hands-on creative experiences offer children and adults something special: a chance to slow down, connect, and experience the satisfaction of making something of their own.

That’s what drew us to Honest Art. We were inspired by Liza, founder of Honest Art, and her journey, as well as her vision to create a space where people of all ages can explore different media, discover their creativity, and simply enjoy making art.

We are excited to bring Honest Art to our community and create more than just an art studio. We envision a welcoming place where children build confidence, adults reconnect with their creative side, families spend meaningful time together, and friendships naturally grow.

Most of all, we hope everyone who walks through our doors leaves with something they created — and a sense of accomplishment, connection, and joy.

Bring Honest Art to Your Community
